• Snapshots taken on our street

During our time in Hanoi we stayed at the Serene Hotel on Yen Thai street.

It provided us with a quintessential ‘snapshot’ of the city.

Between the bustle of the markets below in the Old Quarter, old women crouched over fry pans at street kitchens and others driving by on their motorbikes and getting their ‘take-away’ groceries, there was never a dull moment.

This is a small collection of photographs depicting an average day on our street.
